What some of my 100+ students say:

Chantae Raden

"Since following Tim Leffel’s book and course, I’ve landed bylines in publications like Travel + Leisure, Backpacker Essentials, 4WD Touring Australia, SurfGirl Magazine, Boating Magazine, Skyscanner Australia, and many more. I also landed two guidebook author deals and developed brand partnerships for my travel blog"

David Nikel Travel Writing Overdrive course graduate

"Travel Writing Overdrive gave me the confidence that I could turn my niche (Norway) into a full-time income. Following the course I achieved my goal, by growing an average blog into an authority site with multiple streams of income. That authority allowed me to start writing for Forbes, quickly grow a YouTube channel, and even start speaking on cruise ships. Most of all, it gave me a network that I get value from, years later."

Marco Ferrarese successful travel writer

"Right after finishing Module 4 and tweaking a pitch the right, expert-focused way, I landed a Penang-based assignment for CNN Travel only 15 minutes after I pitched! In the course’s spirit of ‘develop a thick skin,’ I went on to collect more bylines than rejections in publications the caliber of Lonely Planet (wrapping up my 10th guidebook project with them, in two years and on three continents, as I type this), the Rough Guides, Fodor’s Travel, BBC Travel and more. On many occasions, it was the editors who looked for me, not the other way around."

I am the author of Travel Writing 2.0, I run a blog by the same name, and I've been on stage as a speaker at multiple conferences for travel writers and bloggers. I'm a member of SATW, NATJA, and ATTA. Besides founding six travel websites, two of which I've sold for a nice profit, I've also been published in the likes of CNN, Outside, Lonely Planet, Westways, Global Traveler, The Telegraph, and USA Today.

I've supported a family for two decades as a travel content creator, put a kid through college, and built up a nice retirement savings fund. I own my home free and clear. So yes, you can make real money from this fun and exciting career or it can be a profitable side hustle if you want to hold onto your day job. I hope you can join us the next time around!
